Answer
Hey Dean:

Your sure it's from the power sterring pump and not the alternator? second question. On some of those cars there is a little metal flow restrictor in the power steering pump return line at the pump it's self. it loos like a little bullet that sticks out of the nipple on the pump. If this car has on in it take it out and drill the hole out about 2 sizes up from what it is right now. the restrictor cavitates the fluid in the resivior. if it doesn't have that there may be a lot of air in the fluid. with it cold chceck the fluid level make sure it's to the full cold line. then start the car and turn it 1 time from stop on the left to stop on the right then check the fluid again if it's excessivly foamy then you need to bleed the air out. Oh also i hope you used power steering fluid and not auto trans fluid in this... but to bleed the air out you need to raise up the car on jack stands and take the cap off the resivior and slowly turn the wheel from lock to lock with out the engine running 4 or 5 times if the fluid is still foamy wait a few minutes and repeat this untill when you turn the whell the fluid doesn't foam up the foam is from the air trapped in the rack and the cooler return line. That should fix it. If not and the pump is still noise the pump is bad. if and when you change it again do this bleed routine FIRST before you start the car! Good luck :)
