Pontiac Repair: Oil cap, gm dealer, oil cap

check oil light has come on..checked dip stick needs some...can't unscrew oil cap...this has happened twice..first time I just took it in and had someone else change the oil......why can I not get this oil cap off...I have taken many off before.....this one has got me..any ideas?

Hi Tracy:

the seal that is on the cap between it and the engine has a tendency to get bloated up. sometimes you need a big pair of pliers to turn it to get it off. stop by the local Gm dealer and get your self a new cap before you remove the old filler cap. when you put the new one on put a few daps of fresh oil on the o-ring seal.
