Pontiac Repair: 1992 grand am 4 cylinder, cylinder head gaskets, frezz

the car  started a white smoke coming out of tail pipe an then oil.i checked the oil it had no water in it,the anti frezz was fine,it was not running hot.any idea what happen.

Hey Thomas soory I didn't answer this sooner the question was in the question pool and not directed to me. It could have been a couple of things, did it run rough when it started? It could have been fuel from a leaking injector or it could have been coolant? these engines do have a track record for cylinder head gaskets leaking. If it is a single overhead cam 2.3 the heads also crak on them as well it could very well have been just a slight amount of coolant and you don't notice it yet being low. I would have the system pressure tsted when the engine is cold to see if it indeed is leaking into the engine. Good luck :)
