Pontiac Repair: 88 pontiac fiero making a winding noise, pontiac fiero, rear seal

Question
Ok when I got the car I wanted to get it legal I took it to get a inspection sticker.I had new wiper blades installed new enegizer batterie.I also had the lower balljopint on the drivers side fixed as well as the rear seal on the axle which goes into the transmission fixed which was leaking.I drove the car awhile and the had to get the serpentine belt fixed so I did.  The next day the car started making a winding noise I will call it.  Could it just be the belt or is it something more serious?
Thanks for any help,
Jay

Answer
Hey Jay:

Well it could be a lot of things. It could be a belt or it could be that then belt was/is to tight and now the alternator is making noise. Without hearing it I can't tell you what it may be but that is a likely cantidate for that kind of a noise. It's from the engine while the car is standing still not moving right? If it's when the car is moving it could be alot of other things. Good luck :)
