Pontiac Repair: 97 grand am gurgle sound in dash, coolant system, gurgle

After start up my 97 Grand Am w/ 2.4 4 cyl. has gurgle sound from under dash by glove compartment area.  Once you drive it 1/2 mile it is all gone.  Is this air in the coolant system?  I have no leaks and coolant stays full.

Yep it's either air in the heater core or a build up of sediment/dirt in the core that's making it make that noise. you may want to take off the hoses and try to flush out the core with a garden hose. Just be careful that you do not break off the tubes for the core they are plastic and after time they become brittle! refill the system and take it for a good long ride just make sure you do not over heat the engine when you refill that system. That engine is heard to bleed the air out of. Good luck :)
