Pontiac Repair: motor mounts, bonniville, serpentine belt

I need to replace my serpentine belt on my 95 bonniville. It says in a manual that i have to take off the motor mount to do this. Is there a easier way??

Hey Sonny:

Nope there is really not an easier way other than just taking one of the bolts and spacer out. on the left side of that mount ther is a stud and nut. The nut has an 18MM head on it take that off and remove the stud that has an inverted torex head on it remove the stud and take out the spacer. you can then fish out the belt. the trick it trying to get that spacer back into place. You have to loosen up all the bolts for that mount/bracket to get that space back into place. Good luck :)
