Answer
Hey Guy:

That is odd that engine is pretty bullet proof. Does it have a factory oil filter on the car? the aftermarket filter alot of them do not have the check valve in them to keep the oil up in the block when you turn it off. You may want to try a product called marvel mystery oil in this it will remove deposits in the crankcase that may cause that lifter noise. Follow the directions on the can and then change the oil and put is a GOOD quality oil maybe a grade higher like 10w30 or even 10w40 with the higher milage you may want to consider it but if you life in a cold climate and do a lot of short trip driveing I would say no stick with the 10w30. Also use an ac delco oil filter that engine takes a pf47 filter. Good luck :)
