our check engine light just came on and now its missing and has a loss of power

well it could be a bunch of things. If the light is on and flashing that's noot good the engine is misfiring bad enough to cause catalitic converter failure. there are a ton of reasons for that light to come on. youcan take it to one of the auto parts stores like auto zone they will at least scan the car to tell you what the code is for free. At least you will have an I dea what your looking for. Good luck :)
