hi there,
I recently notice one of my hoses is leaking, and my brother looked at it, and thanfully it's one of the hoses at the top, and it looks like it's just the seal/washer? in the hose? (we can see it seeping at the seam, and washer has disintigrated to the point of mush) My brother said he can easly change this for me, but he doesn't know the name of the washer/seal/ we need? Would you know this?
The hose looks like an upside down, rubber (not mesh) U, and it's held down with two bolts, and this is where it's seeping from.
Hope this makes sense, and i'm not confusing you as much as i am...would it help if i sent a picture?

is this a 4 cylinder engine in this car? if so that it the thermostat housing where it's laking from where the top hose goes on the engine it's self. there is a gasket between the housing and the cylinder head. that gasket is replaceable and it's pretty easy to do just make sure that he take great care taking out the bolts. If it has been leaking for a while the coolant get's into the threads and the bolts corrode in the head so make sure the heads do not break off the bolts taking them out. It's a pretty easy job none the less if the bolts come out.Why he's in there have him change the thermostat as well for for a piece of mind it's winter out. Good luck :)
