Pontiac Repair: problem with car, pontiac grandam, light dues

QUESTION: I have a 92 pontiac grandam, only problem im having out of it , after i run it awhile and put it in park in runs good as ever , but when im taking it out of park to put in reverse or drive it cuts off. and i cant get it started drive it again until it cools off what could it be

Well it could be just about anything. what does it doe when it quits running? Is it like some just turned off the key or does it sputter before it dies. It could be an ignition system problem where the engine is loosing spark it could be a fuel delivery problem where it is loosing fule pump pressure with this it would sputter before it quits. How does it run when it's hot and your comming to a stop light dues it hunt for an idle or not? It could be some sort of an idle control valve issue. It's hard to really say what the issue is. No service engine soon light has come on?? What engine does this car have a 4 cylinder or a V6?

QUESTION: hi , it runs good until im driving it awhile and i put it in park or reverse and then it just dies. its a 4 cylinder.but it will set there and stay running like a new car. but after i drive it awhile and i put it in park .if i leaving in just a few minutes it dies in reverse or park. but if i let it cool off awhile it will let me put it in gear and drive off

This is a tough one. It could be all of the possibilites that I mentioned before but also on that engine they have an issue with bad ground wires on the lower transmission bolt/stud where ther corrode ot even brak off That would be a first place to look. It makes it hard when there is now service engine soon light on. This is something tah tsomeone is going to hook up a scan tool to and watch the engine data to see what you are loosing to make the car stall out. No real quick answer for you sorry :(
