Pontiac Repair: 93 Pontiac Transport wheel bearings, wheel drive car, front wheel bearings

 Is it possible to repair the front wheel bearings on a 1993 Pontiac Transport?

Hey Tom:

No the wheel bearings are a sealed unit on these vans and all front wheel drive car/vans. The GM version the hub and bearinngs are one unit. Unlike a inport car where you can just replace the bearing it's self. You have to get the shot as one. There are 3 bolts that hold it to the steering knuckle it comes ove pretty easy and is acactually easier to chnage that that of an inport. They are a bit pricey though. Good luck :)
