Pontiac Repair: 1990 Grand Prix, dead battery, spark plugs

My car is running rough and is very jumpy but as soon as you put it in gear it will die out. It is an automatic.

This could be any number of things. Did the batter ygo dead recently? If so the idle learn in the computer was erased by the dead battery. If not then if it's running rough/misfiring it could be a bad ignition wire or coil or even an ignition control module. I would get a speark tester at your local parts store and check for spark tah the plug end of each wire to see which one is loosing park or witch pair is looing spark. each coil runs 2 spark plugs. Just a place to start and good luck :)
