the hood latch opener of my car will not open anymore is there another way to get the hood open?

Hey Paul.

There is no easy way to get it open. if the handle broke off the cable just use a pair of pliers to pull on the end of the cable and it should open. If the cable broke then your out of luck. You can take the grill off the front of the hood on some of the years but I'm not sure what years you can take them off without braking them. Once you get that off you can reach in on some of them with a long bent pick or awl and pull of the lever that the cable is attached to. It's not east at all to get to them on some cars it's not so bad but on these cars they really are a pain to get to. You really have to work at it to get them open. They make it that way for a reason so someone can't get in there and pop the hood open while that car is locked. Good luck and sorry to be the barer of bad news.
