Pontiac Repair: 2000 Pontiac Flashers, ghostly problems, pontiac montana

Question
I have a 2000 Pontiac Montana and the left flasher does not work sometimes. Both turn indicator lights stay lit up on the console, and I can get the relay to fire on the right signal, just not the left. The emergency flashers are also stuck. Do I need to change the flasher, and if so where and how can I locate the module?

Answer
Hi
The hazard and turn signals work from the same flasher.
I am sorry, I have never replaced one on a "U" van. All I can tell you is the service manual says it is located on the "Extension Bracket". I cannot find out where this bracket is.
If the rights work, I would follow the sound coming from the flasher.
I will also advice you to check the rear taillamp bulb sockets. They are common for causing "ghostly" problems also.
I do hope this helps.
Good Luck
