Pontiac Repair: 1999 Pontiac grand Am GT, pontiac grand am, reputable shop

I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM GT v6 automatic.  The other day the car car stalled out on me.  When I tried to restart the car it would start bucking and then stall out again.  It sounds like it is only running on half of the cylinders.  I was wondering what you think this could be.  I don't know if it is the fuel pump or a coil or anything else.  Thank you for you response.

There are so many different items it COULD be. As you state, fuel pump, ignition module and/or ignition coils.
I would suggest taking it to a reputable shop your familiar with, and have it checked out.
It is better to know for ure, than to guess and change parts that MAY not even be at fault.
