Pontiac Repair: 4-way flasher switch., pontiac grand am, lock cylinder

I need to change the 4-way flasher switch on my 2001 Pontiac Grand AM. How do I get to it? I can't determine how to remove the instrument panel to get at the switch. I will appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Bob.
you have to remove that trim around the radio and HVAC control head. first you need a metal bent pick and remove the bezel around the ingintion lock cylinder and then pick a corner of that trim and get the pick behind the trim and gently pull out on it and you will be able to get it apart. the switch is mounted it a plate that's mounted to the back of that trim for the radio. just 3 screw hold that plate to the trim.
