Pontiac Repair: door will not open, door latch assembly, question pool

I have a 93 Grand Prix SE Coup. The driver side door will not open. The power locks are working and the door lock seems to operate ok.The door handle was replaced last year and also seems to be ok. Please help. Thanks

This question I fished out of the "Question pool" is this a 2 door or a 4 door? Does it not open from either the inside or outside? if not from either then ther is something wrong with the door latch assembly it's self. If that is the case you will have to take the door tim off from the inside and finagle the lock to open it. The trim will break! If it opens from one but not the other it needs a handle for which ever will not open. Hope that helps!
