Pontiac Repair: ABS light, trac off light, serv veh soon light, turn signal switch, wheel bearing hub assembly

Question
I have a 2002 pont. grand am gt.  The following light have come on (ABS, trac off, and service vehicle soon).  The car makes a grinding noise when I drive which lessens when I make left hand turn but gets worse when I make right hand turns. What would this be?  Another issue is an intermittent sound that sounds like my blinker is running when it actually isnt.

Answer
Hey Mike.

You car needs a wheel bearing. the ABS sensors are on the wheel bearing hub assembly on that car. the bearing is going bad and causing excessive play in the hub more than likely causing the abs sensor to read incorrectly. that's wht the abs/trac lights are on and it could also casue the service light as well. The hubs are expensive on those cars. DO NOT go aftermarket get the factory parts for it. Hope that helps! As for the noise with the flasher you need a turn signal switch it has bad contacts in it causing the voltage to blled back into the flasher module when the t/s are off. Hope that helps and good luck :)
