Pontiac Repair: 1994 Sunbird turn signal, turn signal flasher, turn signals

QUESTION: 1994 Sunbird turn signal stopped working. Fuses are okay, bulbs okay. Replaced flasher and turn signal switch. The hazard lights are working fine. Any ideas?  Thanks!

Wow you threw everything but the kitchen sink at this trying to find the problem. let me ask you this do the brake light work? the flasher wiring and the brake lights are sort of tied together. That car has 2 flasher elements I belive one for the 4 way flashers and one for the turn signals. did you change the right flasher? when you say they don't work does the light come on but not flash or do they not work all together? either way it could be a flasher element. If you have the correct one you can check the wiring to the flasher with a 12 volt test light. with the flasher turned in either direction you should have power on one terminal and when it flashes the other side should not. and vise versa. Are you sure you got the correct flasher from the parts store. That happen a lot where you had the correct one but got the incorrect flasher. Without seeing this it's hard to say exactly what's going on. Hope that helped and good luck :)

QUESTION: Hi Todd, Do you know where the turn signal flasher is on the car? I think we changed the 4 way flasher. We could only find one flasher. When we checked at the dealer and the auto parts place but no one knows where the turn signal flasher is. We can't find a schematic . The brake lights work.  The turn signal does not work at all, not even the dash lights up. Thanks so much!

It's on the left side of the dash some where either monted to the dash board assembly or to the bracket that holds the steering column to the dash assembly. it has a little metal bracket with a clip on it. It's mounted to soemthing metal so when it's on you can hear it resonate through the car. That's if someone didn't beat you to it before you and didn't put it in the right spot. Good luck :)
