Pontiac Repair: 93 gran prix, turn signal switch, gran prix

when the ignition is turned on there is a small puff of white smoke that appears and then quickly disappears, what could be the cause? A key was once broken in the ignition and had to be remanufactured by a locksmith. Any ideas or suggestions??

Hi Bea.

The problem is with the turn signal switch. There is a grease on the switch to lubricate it and when dirt and dust etc gets on it it casue the smoke when the key is turned on and power is sent up to that switch. Get a new switch and you should be good to go. Good Luck :)
