I have a 2001 pontiac sunfire 4cyl. and my car ran foine all day and 2hrs afterI got home I go to store one block away when got in car to go home car turns over but will not start? been doing this for 2wks. off and on and sometimes car will engine dies but may start 5 mins. later?

Is the security light on, blinking or on for a few seconds, then off when it will not start?
If on for a few then off,
I would recommend first a major tune up, never hurts. Plugs, wires, fuel; filter, air filter.
Does ht eservice enginge soon light come on?
If so, have it diagnosed.
I would then have the fuel pressure monitored. I have seen these vehicles exhibit similar problems, and the fuel pump is faulty.
