Pontiac Repair: radio display, 2005 pontiac sunfire, power window switch

I have a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire that the radio display is barely visible during daylight and not visible at all at night. I checked the radio fuse and its ok. Any ideas?

Does the dimmer control on the light switch operate the other dash/interior lights correctly? MAINLY the power window switch as it is on the same circuit.(if equipped)
If not or even if so, check the ground which is located under the passenger seat and carpet.
If the other lamps seem to operate properly, I would then say it is the radio as the BCM supplies the  voltage to the loads but the switch still provides the resistance.
