Pontiac Repair: ETS light, 1997 pontiac sunfire, pontiac sunfire

1997 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2L, (ETS off light) only is on. Is likely problem the EBCM itself or something else? ABS seems unaffected with no light.

I would first diagnose the switch (If applicable) make sure it is not stuck on.
If it is not the switch circuit, I would take it to a repair facility and have them scan the PCM also. SOME engine dtc's will inhibit the ETS system. So you may have a Class B or Class C PCM DTC, that HAS not turned on the Service engine soon light, but HAS inhibited ETS. Have them scan the ABS System for codes. Could be a $10.00 connector and not a  $1000 EBCM.
