Pontiac Repair: Water on Floor and No A/C, pontiac grand prix, coat hanger

Question
I have a 97 Pontiac Grand Prix, 3800V6 engine. I've noticed water pouring onto the interior passenger floor, under the floor panel where the interior light is located.  I've also noticed that when turning on the AC, I hear the blower running, but nothing comes out of the vents.  Are both problems related and if I have a plugged drain tube, where can I find diagrams or pictures to show what it looks like?

Thanks for you time.

Answer
Hi
Sounds like that is what has happened, the drain tube plugged.
It is located on the outside of vehicle, on passenger side, mounted to the firewall (about outside where the passengers feet would rest)
It is an elbow shaped tube, soft rubber, black color.
You can jack the vehicle, (put it on jackstands or use ramps) and get under vehicle. You should see it, just above the rack and pinnion steering gear. Remove it (the elbow) and then stick  a small wire or piece of coat hanger
(about 6 inchec long" into hole to clean out any debris that has accumulated in the drain. Watch out! I have seen a gallon of water pour out of that case!
Now as far as the blower motor is concerned.
You MAY end up having to repalce both the Bolwer motor AND the blower resistor. I would say to go have this checked out by a shop your familiar with.
I Hope this helps.
JUST advice from experience.
Good Luck
