Pontiac Repair: 2001 Bonneville ignition 1 fuse, power fuse, fuse box

Question
My wife's brother installed an amp and sub in her car about three years ago.  He wired it through the "ignition 1" fuse.  Now the fuse is melted to the fuse box.  Around the same time the blinkers, all gauges, and odometer all stopped working.  Are all of these connected to the "ignition 1" fuse or is there more than one problem.  Just want to know before I replace the fuse box.

Answer
Hi
There is 2 IGN.1 fuses one in front box and one in rear box under reae seat.
If it is in the Underhood box, NO they do not connected to the items you list.
If it is the Rear Underseat fuse box, YES, the IPC (instrument Cluster), Turn signal/multifunction switch and the TCC/Cruise release switch are all fed from the IGN1 fuse.
You MAY be able to repair the fuse box.
If you do, PLEASE run those high amperage draw accessories off either the Battery and fuse that wire, or of of a higher amp  switched power fuse.
I Hope this helps.
Good Luck
