Pontiac Repair: slow accelaration, pontiac transport, accelaration

I own a 1995 pontiac,transport, 3.8L. The problem is that when I accelarate there a hesitation and then it jerks a few times and then picks up in speed. If I do a slow accelaration there nothing noticable in the speed. I've had the fuel filter changed as well as the fuel pump and sending units replaced.I been told that it could be the tranmission, that the plates are slipping.I would appreciate any information or advice, regarding this problem.

the jerking could be many things m try this start it up , put the emergency brake on and put 1 foot on the brake pedal real hard . put the car in drive and keeping pressure on the brake and e brake give the car gas, and slowly give it more , if it jerks and does its thing and acts up id look at replacing the plugs and wires on the primary ignitiuon circut
