I am wanting to know the location of the transmission temperature sensor is and is it very hard to get to?

It is located inside the transmission, behind the SIDE CASE cover. That is the cover up against the DRIVERS side engine compartment.
It is a pretty detailed job.
I will suggest you having a professional repair facility quoting you a price on this job.
