Pontiac Repair: A/C BEARING, pontiac sunfire, quality aftermarket

Question
I HAVE A 1995 PONTIAC SUNFIRE 2.2 THAT HAS A/C BEARING NOISE. HOW DO YOU REPLACE THE BEARING? OR IS IT BETTER TO BUY A NEW COMPRESSOR

Answer
Hi
You'll need special tools to remove the A/C Clutch, clutch coil and the bearing. If you have the tools,  you'll still have to purchase the bearing, depending on it's cost and if you want to replace the clucth assy can get rather pricy.
If you do not have the tools, you can get good quality aftermarket compressors, complete, at reasonable prices (at least in my area). Check some of the parts store prices. Check the prices on parts, both compressor price and bearing prices but personally I think it'll be less expensive for you to get a compressor. They come (usually) with some sort of warranty also so long as you replace the Accumulator and Oriface tube (if applicable).
Just advise from experience.
Hope it helps
Good Luck
