Pontiac Repair: 2001 Ford, gm vehicles, ash tray

Question
I placed my cell phone in the hole where the ash tray use to be, not knowing there wasn't a backing to it, and it fell down inside the dash through the hole.  I've tried to take some things apart in the dash area to get to it, but can't get to it.  I can't figure out how to take the radio, or something else out in that area to get to it. Any suggestions?

Of course I deal mostly with GM vehicles, I can tell you Ford will probably use a special tool to remove the radio (you can get one from your local Auto Parts store). You may also call your phone and follow the ring, it may be right there you just cannot see it.
Take as much off as you can and call it again.
