Pontiac Repair: window off track, pontiac montana, gas gauge

Question
I have a 1999 Pontiac Montana, and the drivers side window is off the track. It can go up and down but I have to hold it in place while I am closing the window in order to get it somewhat straight. How do I put it back on the track? Also, my gas gauge is not working properly, one minute I have a full tank the next 1/2 tank, and one time while sitting in traffic it went from 3/4 full to empty with the low fuel light on, in a matter of a minute. Is there an easy fix for that?

Answer
sorry but no easy fix here.the door panel will have to be removed and whatever parts broke replaced to keep the window on track.the gauge problem will probably be the float in the fuel tank.this is connected to the fuel pump and is difficult to fix.you might get lucky and have a bad connection causing the gauge to act up.
