Pontiac Repair: Radiator fluid in two cylinders, radiator fluid, intake manifold

Question
I was just informed by the mechanic that the reason my 97 Bonneville SE (V6 3800) completely died on me and would not crank again was due to having two cylinders filled with radiator fluid.  After having a look at it, the mechanic said it was most likely due to a cracked intake manifold.  I've seen other posts here saying that they have a leak in the intake manifold, but haven't read anything specifically about water in the cylinders.  This sounds like an extreme case, so do you think simply replacing the intake manifold will work, or do you think there is a high risk of more damage due to the cylinders being flooded?  Thank you very much in advance and your responses to other questions have resolved several other issues I'm having.

Answer
The unfortunate thing is there is no real certanty on how a piece of machinery will act or react to a situation and each one has it's own "personality". This is very possibly due to the intake, but there is no way to say for sure that it will be ok by just repairing the leak and going on. More than likely the motor will be ok. As long as the mechanic is confident it can be repaired successfully then you should be ok because he has a much better perspective of your car than I do. Hope this is a little help and good luck :)
