Pontiac Repair: warning guages, pontiac sunfire, 2001 pontiac sunfire

i have a 2001 pontiac sunfire with a 2.2 4 cylider the check engine light has been on for about 4 months and the oil light just came on the oil was recently changed and is still full. i tried disconecting the battery to restart computer but didnt work. can u help?

Disconnecting the battery will not do anything to reset a computer on cars built after 1996. You will need to have a scan tool hooked up to read the codes causing the check engine light. As far as the oil light, you may just have a bad sending unit, but have the pressure checked to be certain.
