Pontiac Repair: Fuel Pressure Regulator, fuel pressure regulator, fuel rates

Question
96 Pontiac Grand Am, v6, 3.1L, auto tran.
FPR leaks and needs replaced.  Would this possibly cause the check engine light to remain on?

Also, what would cause emergency brake light to stay on?

Answer
Steve

It could cause the SES lamp on,if it shows fuel rates rich or a missfire, you'll need to get the codes in order for me to diagnose the SES light.
The brake lamp coming on could either be a failed ebrake lever switch, low master cyl brake fluid or a failed brake level switch if equiped.
