Pontiac Repair: fuel filter, pressure valve, fuel pressure

Question
Do I remove fuel pump fuse, start engine, fuel pressure is out of lines. Replace filter,
where is the filter located on 2003 Grand AM 6 cyl

Yes you can do that to relieve fuel pressure or you can purge the service port located at the injector rail on the engine it has a black cap and looks like a tire pressure valve,put rags around the fitting to avoid fuel from going onto the engine and use a rag over the fitting while you depress the valve.
 The filter is located under the car midpoint near the ft of the fuel tank and canister.it is mounted onto the left fuel tank strap.
