Pontiac Repair: Hood release, pontiac grand prix, mech

Question
I pulled the release to get under my hood from inside the car.  In my hand came the whole wire.  Is there a way for me to get under my hood?

Yes it is possible to get it open still. If you get underneath the front of the car and look up between the grill and radiator you should see where the cable hooked up to the release. The release mech is just a lever that you can push in and the hood should pop up. Wish you luck because there is usually very little room to do this in.
