Pontiac Repair: 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, pontiac grand am, side tire

Question
I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am that is making a grinding sound when I take a left hand turn.  This happens whether I hit the brakes or not.  It does sound like the noise is coming from the front drivers side tire but I am not sure about this.

Answer
Well Jennifer this sounds like you have a bad wheel bearing in need of replacement. Without actually looking at it there's no certanty but that is a very common problem. I would sugest getting this checked at a shop soon as you possibly can because a wheel bearing can break or lock up and if this happens while driving, well it wouldn't be pretty. One last warning, the bearing is a whole assembly with the ABS sensor so it isn't exactly cheap to replace. Hope this helps and good luck :)
