Pontiac Repair: Electricc Window, pontiac grand am, grand am

Wayne I have a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am GT that I bought from my daughter. they had the motor on the drivers side window replaced a few months before I bought it and all the sudden it got to where it might or might not come up or go down. You can go out and start it up and hit the button and it will move just a bit but nothing else and it is stuck down most of the way. do you have any ideas? HELP thanks. Rick

Hi, this could be in the switch, not putting the right power to the motor, check the power at the motor, you should have 12volts at the motor, if you don't have the 12 volts when you push the switch, then i say it's in the switch, if you have 12 volts then i say it's the motor.
