Pontiac Repair: brake problem, light rust, necessary thanks

Question
Wayne......I have a 2002 Impala that has developed rust on the rotors due to non-use.  There is a bumping type of sound when the wheel turn.  It increases and decreases depending on the speed of the car.    Will this problem be alleviated with the active use of the car?  Are the turning of the rotors necessary?
Thanks,
SG

Answer
Hi, sorry for not answer you befor now, but the computer has been down. The bumping could be in the tires, when a rotor gets rusted  you will hear a scrubing sound, if you have a light rust on the rotor, the pads will take it off after driving the car a mile or so, now if the rust is heavy need to have it turned.
