Pontiac Repair: Electrical issue, brake light switch, pontiac grand prix

Here is the question my 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix brake lights are on all the time now and now when I went to go and start it I had nothing as far as power. I had just started it about 20 min. before the battery died. What can cause this? Brake lights staying on? Bad battery? or sensor switch?  I sure couls use some advise....thanks  Chad

Hi, the brake light switch is causing the lights to stay on. A losse connection at the battery can cause  the power lost. by the brakes stay on at all may have drain the battery down to low. Replace the swich and charge the battery up. I thank this will fix the problem.
