Pontiac Repair: 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix injector problem?, pontiac grand prix, noid light

Question
Hi, I have a small problem and cannot figure it out.  My son drives a 92 Grand Prix with the 3.1 liter engine. He said there seemed to be a problem with the transmission because the RPM'S would increase and the car would not speed up.  That's just one problem.  I decided to drive the car after it sat in the driveway a couple of days just to see for myself. However, it would not start.  The engine just turned over and would not fire off.  I replaced the fuel filter, checked to make sure the fuel pump is working (it's okay), unhooked the fuel line going into the fuel rack and there is plenty of pressure.  I checked and made sure the car is firing and it is and also checked the fuel injection relay and fuse at the fuse housing and both are fine.  The injectors appear as if they are not releasing any fuel.  Is there something in the fuel rack that could be bad or maybe the ECM module.  I do not have a diagnostic meter to read any code, just wondered what you thought.

Answer
Hi,you can check the injectors with a noid light. unpulg one of the injector, pulg the light in the injector wier  then turn the engine. If the light flash, check the comperission, this will tell if the timming has jumped. Now if the injector light do not flash, The ignition module can cause this, also the ECM can cause it to. Also check the EGR valve it could be stuck open.
