Pontiac Repair: Oil in the carbarurater, blown head gasket, pvc valve

Question
I need to know if the oil is from a blown head gasket or pc valve damage. How to tell the difference.

Answer
Hi, if the head gasket is blown it would loose water and the engine would run hot. check the pvc valve. disconnect the pcv place your finger over the of the valve. If there is no vacuum at the valve check for a plugged hose, manifold port or the valve itself. Trun the engine off and shake pcv valve listening for a rattle. If the valve doesn't rattle replace the valve.
