I HAVE A 1981 PONTIAC SUNBIRD CONVERTIBLE, AND I NEED TO FIND OUT WHERE I CAN GET A REPLACEMENT TOP WITHOUT PAYING A FORTUNE FOR A NEW ONE.

Try the Pontiac dealership. You might be surprised. They have a parts locator and they can check every dealer in the country. Someone might have one that they want to get rid of cheap.
If not, you can try a local customizing shop. Look in the phone book for a place that sells custom wheels, window tint, sunroof instalations. That kind of stuff. They can make the tops.
