Pontiac Repair: Buick Skylark hesitating, mass air flow, buick skylark

Question
1993 buick skylark striaght 6 cyl, 3300 size, 130 miles.

When I start the car up (cold) the engine hesitates, as if it wants to stall. Once warmed up it runs fine unless I have to stop, at the stop when I put my foot on the gas to go it hesitates as well.
I have put in a new fuel filter which helped a little, but not too much.
Can you please advise what may be the problem.

Answer
There could be alot of things wrong. You could have a fuel pump that is low on pressure, clogged injectors, shorted injectors, worn plugs and/or wires, etc.
The first thing I would do is check the air filter and clean the Mass Air Flow (MAF)sensor. Then see how it runs.
