Pontiac Repair: I am having a problem finding my oil filter, ecotech engine, pontiac grand am

  I need to change the oil and I have looked all over the  motor and am having trouble finding the oil filter.  my car is  a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am 2.2 L

Looking from the front of the car, it is to the right of the intake manifold. You have to remove it from the top. There is a cap on top of it. Unscrew the cap and pull out the paper filter. This is if it has the Ecotech engine.
If it has the other 2.2 it is on the rear side of the engine just above the end of the trans on the passenger side.
