Pontiac Repair: Cylinder Head Gasket, cylinder head gasket, crankshaft balancer

Question
Hi, I have a 1990 Grand Am SE, 16 Valve Quad 4 2.3 liter motor and I have just lost the cylinder head gasket.  I almost have the cylinder head out but there are 2 bolts under the timing cover that I cannot get. I was wondering how to take of the timing cover and if I have to touch the tensioner or anything, cause i don't really want to do that. Just wondering if you can't help with those last 2 bolts in the cylinder head that undering the timing cover?

Answer
To replace the head gasket you will need to remove the timing cover, timing chain , tensioner, cam gears, timing chain housing, and both camshaft housings. Also the intake manifold and exhaust manifold wiil have to come off. Plus all of the other stuff like the fuel rail, ignition parts, wire harness, etc.
Also to get the timing chain cover off you need to remove the serp. belt, crankshaft balancer pulley, and the fron motor mount.
