QuestionGenSet was working fine until one day I tried to start and it would just turn over, but not start. The next time I tried it, it made rapid clicking sound - like when a batter is dead, but the batteries are all good. Now, it doesn't do anything. Thoughts?
AnswerYou have a two fold problem.
first I think you fried your starter the day, when it turned over but would not start. Easy test by removing it and seeing if it works correctly. If it turns slow or not at all when you test it, it is probably gone.
The second may be that you were not getting fuel. These have separate fuel pumps. If that fuel pump went bad, then no start. Test that by removing fuel line to motor and see if fuel pump supplies fuel when power to it is supplied.
My best guess. If not that, then follow up and we will try something else.
