In my experience the inverter doesn't do the best job of keeping the battery charged, that's why I tell the campers I deal with to put a trickle charger on it two or three times a season. If your not having  problems with your 12v lights, heater or anything else than I'd say don't rely on it to do the job fully and use a trickle charger, but you can also take it in to a trailer/RV repair location and they should be able to test it for you
