RV Repair: 1973 Starcraft Starcruiser, ase master, electrical system

I have a wiring issue and cannot find a diagram to help me. I am an ASE master auto/truck tech of 28 years so I am not completely lost,I think. I did find a recall on this model for a wiring issue..recall #73v170000. Recall states the 12 volt direct current electrical system was not fused and may cause wire overheating. I just purchased this fiberglass unit and see wiring has been repaired but is burnt again in the same area, just behind the speedometer and to a hole through the floor to underneath it appears.I have not traced all of it as of yet.Could I get lucky enough to have it repaired under the recall? It is said to be reported with the N.H.T.S.A. Should I contact them, for whatever that may be worth?? I was hoping anyway! We good lucwith the goverment, sorry you will prob have to chase the wire. The recall is forgotten by now more than likely but you can try. You will prob have to do it the had way the same way we do. I wish I could help more but 1973 is long ago and we have to do it the had way. RVs are not like cars they dont have the same standards to dont be amazed if you find something goofy under there check the internet and you may find a club or group that can help
