RV Repair: Electrical, amp service, clothes dryer

Question
My coach has a 50 amp service: I want to wire a Maximum of 125/250 v 30 amp Rated outlet/receptacle to use a clothes dryer that is (220 v 10 amp minimum). All of these Specs. are pursuant to the dryers Owners Manual. My breaker panel has an extra space for another breaker- "Can I use a 2 pole breaker out of that box that is Type 120/240 volt Properly?" "I Personally don't find any difference technically in a breaker box in an RV coach than in a house."???" Am I on the level here at all? Will it be ok to do this?  Just for example: I can go from the main 50 amp Type 120/240 v and there is a 30 amp 120/240 v - I can get 245 volts when I test... I wired it momentarily to a 3 wire set-up and it shows me the same 245 volts hot to hot. Using the white neutral or the bare ground it shows me 121 - 123 volt per each side. I need your opinion and viewpoint as well as your advise on this issue. I want to be certain not to damage my service or my appliance. Thank You Very Much For Your Help and Opinion / Advise! Loren

Answer
Hi Loren
Yes, you are right. There is no difference in the 110 volt of the RV compared a home. I count the amps I will be using. Say you are running 2 ACs, microwave and the washer/dryer all at the same time, may cause a breaker to trip. That would be 60 amps or so. With 50 amp service you have 50 per side, for 100 total. I have seen them in other coaches and they work fine. Good Luck.
