RV Repair: RV Generator wont stay running, rv generator, carb adjustments

Hello;  I have just purchased a 1982 Holiday Rambler and I cannot get the generator to stay running. When I hold the auto choke it will run but as soon as I let it go it dies.
any hints or tips?

Shane, It may be that this generator has sat awhile without running. I think I would look at the fuel filter and fuel pump. Maybe replace them and run some carb cleaner through it as well. Other than that the only thing I can tell you is don't make any carb adjustments yourself but have them done by a professional. I hope this helps, Bill
